Symposium on Pensions and Financial Literacy
Center for Economic and Political Research on Aging
Start date: 04.12.2014
End date: 05.12.2014
While pension systems are becoming increasingly more complex, and longevity is continuously increasing, crucial decisions about pension and retirement are being shifted to the individuals. When to retire, how much to save for retirement, how to split between capital at retirement and annuity are only some of these important decisions. But do individuals have the sufficient financial literacy to take informed and accurate decisions? Are financial institutions providing a sufficient support in these decisions?
